The fourth Sasol Techno X Science and Technology Exhibition was again a big success.
Learners from 211 secondary schools and only 81 primary schools attended since we concentrated on secondary schools, with a new record number of visitors 10 748 on the Friday.
A popular addition to Sasol Techno X 2004 was the annual Vaal Triangle Career Guidance exhibition.
2005 promise to be an even bigger success.

Overall winners
1st prize was awarded to Jean-Mari Malan from Parys High School for her Technology Gr. 7 – 9 project. She won R1 500 for herself and R7 500 for her school.
The 2nd prize went to Talitha Marais from Wilgerivier School for her Technology Gr. 4 – 6 project. She won R1 250 for herself and R7 500 for her school.
Elizabeth Tshabalala, Donald Metsing and Adam Tladi from Matlwangtlwang Secondary received the third prize for their Science Gr. 10 – 12 project. They received R1 000 and R7 500 for their school.
Art Competition
Learners from Gr. 7 – 12 were asked to Xplore the future as the Sasol Techno X 2004 theme. Two winners from each grade were selected.
The winning entrants were also awarded R1 000 for themselves and each school received R5 000.
