First Ever Sasol Science And Technology Exhibition
Come out of the dark, be enlightened.
Programme
There were 38 hands-on exhibitions, 12 daily field trips, 19 different workshops and 11 lectures on offer throughout the week.
The exhibition included the first ever Sasol Corporate Exhibition, with 23 of its businesses partaking.

Miné ZantowCompetitions
The Elmore Marshall Science and Technology Trophy was competed for by all Free State schools.
Projects were judged from three categories
Open Class
Water Conservation
Musical Instrument constructed from recycled material.
There was an overwhelming response, with 68 projects reaching the final. A panel of three judges selected the winning project and the trophy was presented by Mr. Elmore Marshall to Miné Zantow Gr. 7, North Primary School, Sasolburg
Attendance
At this first exhibition more than 40 000 learners from 450 schools visited the exhibition. Schools from as far as Pietersburg (NP) in the North and Reddersburg (FS) in the South attended.
General
Chubb Security provided “round-the-clock” armed guards for the exhibition. No serious incidents were reported.
Sasmove, a local ambulance service, provided the first aid service at the exhibition. This service included a qualified nurse and paramedic.
